Hooponopono

Here is a video that sums up the concept of the ancient hawaiian clearing practice known as Ho’oponopono. It’s not a video I created myself, but though it was well done and wanted to share it. Below the video, I will explain more about how to perform this powerful clearing technique.

Hoʻoponopono (ho-o-pono-pono) is an ancient Hawaiian practice of clearing issues, in particular relationships, through  forgiveness. Similar forgiveness practices were performed on islands throughout the South Pacific, including Samoa, Tahiti and New Zealand. Traditionally hoʻoponopono is practiced by healing priests, known as Kahunas.

Today, the practice of Ho’oponopono has been simplified into 4 powerful phrases that is easily self-applied.  The concept is not about forgiving and loving others, but forgiving and loving yourself.   It’s about taking responsibility in the creation of the problem you are trying to solve.

Applying this easy clearing technique is easy.  All you do is think to  yourself:  “Whatever is in me, that has created this problem… I’m sorry, Please Forgive Me, Thank You, I love you.”   That’s it!  Then continue to repeat the 4 phrases “I’m sorry, Please Forgive Me, Thank You, I love you” until you feel better.

The phrases do not need to be repeated in any particular order, just remember to include the first part of the phrase the first time through the mantra – “Whatever is in me, that has created this problem….”

I recommend learning and reading more about this amazing clearing tool – There are several books written about this, and I personally own several of them however, my two recommended favorites are:
